Self Password Reset

Set Up

When you Log In to BankOnLine from a desktop or laptop computer, you will need to click on the Options tab up at the top. Once under Options, the Personal sub-tab will appear. At the beginning of the Personal page, your current email address is listed. Please verify that this information is correct. If not, you have the option to update this information here. Further down the page, about a third to half way, you will see the Password Reset Question and Answer boxes. You are required to make up your own question and answer for verification when attempting to utilize Self Password Reset. Once you have made your choices and verified the information, scroll to the bottom of the page and press the Submit button to save your changes.

Can't Remember My Password

If you have attempted to sign in to BankOnLine and your password isn't working, simply press on the Self Password Reset link just under the password box.

Important: Please note that three (3) incorrect password attempts will lock you out of the BankOnLine system and will require assistance from bank staff. If you have not successfully logged in after 2 attempts, please use the self reset option.

Step 1

When you have clicked on the link, you will be taken to the page shown below where we will ask you to enter your BankOnLine ID, your email address on file, and for you to create an email subject for your password reset email. We ask you to create your own subject so that you know the email you receive for this process is legitimately from CBBC Bank. Click on the continue button once all the information is complete. You will receive a confirmation that an email is being sent to you.

Step 2

You will receive an email within 30 minutes. Verify that the subject you input in the last step appears in the subject line of the email. The email will contain a link for you to click on that will take you to the next step in the process. The link in the email will be valid for 2 hours following delivery. If not used during that time, it will expire and step 1 will need to be repeated for a new email to be sent.

Step 3

You will be brought to the following page where you will be asked to enter your BankOnLine ID again, and to answer the question you chose for Self Password Reset when you set up the service. Once you have entered and verified the information click continue. If successful, you will receive a message that your password has been reset to your original password. Your original password will be the one sent to you by the bank on your BankOnLine letter. You may choose to log in at this point or close the browser.

Step 4

Following through the log in process, you will be brought to this page and will be required to choose a new password. You also have the option to change your BankOnLine ID if you are inclined to do so. Once you have selected your new password, you will be logged in to view your accounts.
